Chrome new security update warns against tricky software downloads as well as malware

Google wants to remove unwanted downloads. Its latest security updates pop up a big, red warning screen when you're about to visit such sites.

 
Google is adding a new pop-up alert to Chrome in order to protect users from harmful actors over the internet. When any users are about to visit any sites that motivate the users to download unwanted or malicious programs, then it will pop-up new red flag that will warn you.

However, the chrome is not only the browser sending out the warnings; other browser such as Firefox is also warning users about the harmful sites.
Google’s explanation of unwanted software is not only about malware, but it also involves the software that tries to enter into your system. The search giant describe unwanted program as anything with unfair behavior, like hiding on the installation of another program, the program that are difficult to remove. It also includes the program that changes your browsers Homepage – which is not an uncommon thing and such software can qualify from the Google’s point of view.

The effect on users at home – Users those who have Chrome with latest updates will now start viewing warning message when surfing to a site that are potentially harmful and software downloads. Users will get the large red screen pop-up warning that will inform users about the site that they are about to visit may trick and try them to installing unwanted program. Users will then have option to get more information and they may carry to visit site even after they are aware of the risks or they may get back “to safety” at the Google Homepage.

More than just browsers

In addition to the updates to chrome, Google is working hard for handling malicious software with other parts of its business. The company is going to filter the websites that are harmful from their search results. They are also removing ads that redirect users to sites providing unwanted software.
This part is also important, since advertisement can regularly be weak spot for delivering malware or redirecting users to questionable sites. In month of January, a “Malvertising” attack that uses Google’s AdSense software to redirect people to fake sites selling anti-aging and brain-enhanced products.
This Chrome security warnings gets added to other security features, like alerting about the harmful sites that are known to deliver malware and harmful software that you are about to download.
