Madrid, Spain, May 28, 2013 - The Marca España is a leader in water thanks to the expansion process that is seeing it bring integrated water cycle goods and services to the entire world.

The Steering Committee of the China-Europe Water Platform has selected the bid submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment to co-lead a working group on Water Reuse and Desalination. This decision was made during the most recent meeting of the Steering Committee of the China-Europe Water Platform, an initiative agreed on at the Sixth World Water Forum 2012 by the Government of Denmark, which held the EU Presidency at the time, and China’s Ministry of Water Resources. This development will bring about political dialogue to drive improvements in the water sector.

This choice underscores the excellent reputation of Spanish companies in this field and marks a new step in the ability to promote the Marca España’s water expertise in China. This initiative will also enable Spain to access various financing programmes, both in the European Union and China.

The Marca España and its strategy for the water sector (Marca España Water) is becoming increasingly important due to the country’s strengths in this field, making it the perfect model for sustainable, efficient and effective management to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals in the area of water and sanitation.

The Marca España Water is a leader in this field today thanks to an expansion process that has made it possible for it to take integrated water cycle goods and services all over the world, as well as its great technological capacity, which places it at the forefront of Europe.

The Marca España Water also symbolises quality and offers a range of services that highlight Spain’s value and are underpinned by the country’s long track record in water management in terms of companies, public administrations and research centres.
