Boyton Beach, FL, October 07, 2014 -- Help MyShelf™ is a made in America, DIY product engineered to transform the look and functionality of standard wire shelves located in pantries, linen closets and laundry rooms.

The decorative wire shelf cover and liner kit attach over existing wire shelves, providing the appearance of custom shelving, at a fraction of the cost. Wood shelving for an average pantry run in excess of $600, while Help My Shelf averages $69-$139. Help MyShelf also adds 15-20% more space.

Help MyShelf was essentially created from a honey-do list! The owner's wife hired a contractor to upgrade their pantry's ugly wire shelving. She received an estimate that was more than $600 to rip out the pantry and build new shelves.

The owner thought there had to be a better way to make unattractive shelves look more appealing, and stop items from falling through the wires.

He couldn't find anything on the market, so he hired an engineer and created his own design-- a very simple DIY upgrade for wire shelving in pantries, linen closets and laundry rooms. The decorative wire shelf cover and liner kit attach over all models of existing wire shelves, providing the appearance of custom crafted shelving, at a fraction of the cost.

“My wife hated our wire shelving in the pantry,” says Help My Shelf co-creator, Jeff Hansel. “I looked for options to upgrade our pantry without ripping everything out. Once I found there was nothing like this on the market, I worked with my business partner to create a solution that would make wire shelves look and function better.”

Wire shelves were installed in 90% of homes, condos and apartments since the early 1980s. Wire shelves dominate the shelving market because they are affordable, lightweight, easy-to-modify and simple to install.

Unfortunately, wire shelves are not too attractive or functional. It is quite common for items to be unstable on wire shelves, and items easily tip and/or fall through the wires. In fact, this is exactly why most refrigerators and freezers now utilize glass shelving in lieu of wire shelving.
