Government procurement involves the procurement of goods, services and construction on behalf of public authority. In order to prevent fraud, waste or corruption, various countries regulate the government procurement to some extent. These procurement laws regulate the purchasing by public sector bodies and certain utility sector bodies of contracts for goods, works or services.

Holding a great understanding of the procurement regulations, Heather McSparron serves as a buyer for various government contracting companies. While working as Proposal Specialist at DRS, she enrolled herself at Everest University where she obtained Associates in Business Management. Later, she was transferred to the Bachelor’s program.

Thereafter, she started working as a buyer at DynCorp International. With great attention to every minute detail and quality aspects, Heather was responsible for buying anything ranging from toilet paper, water and aircraft parts to medication in order to maintain the site. Post gaining the required skills, Heather McSparron served as a back up to a lead Senior Buyer. Here, she assisted in providing the services that included monthly internet access for each site, aircraft communications and navigation subscriptions and in processing new hires deployment required training or immunizations.

Observing her dedication towards the work, Heather McSparron was soon transferred to the repair team. Here, she got familiar with the item requirements that needed to be sent out for repair or calibration. In 2015, she got selected for the buyer services in Afghanistan. She worked with the suppliers on D & B scores and reviewed the financials to ensure the stability of the company. Besides, she was responsible for negotiating the Terms and Conditions, payment terms and pricing. After working in Afghanistan, Heather McSparron gained additional on-site experience as a buyer in Iraq in 2017.
