These early machines were effective but often expensive and limited in accessibility, primarily used by banks and large institutions. However, they marked the beginning of a more reliable and objective method for detecting counterfeit money.

With the digital revolution, counterfeit detection has taken a giant leap forward. Modern money counterfeit detectors now integrate a variety of technologies, including ultraviolet (UV), infrared (IR), magnetic, and microprint detection. These digital devices are faster, more accurate, and affordable, making them accessible to businesses of all sizes.
In addition to physical detection tools, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are being incorporated into counterfeit detection, enabling detectors to continuously learn and improve accuracy. AI-based systems can analyze complex patterns and minute details that older methods may miss, offering a higher level of security.
