Cytotec is the branch name of the medication called Misoprostal. Cytotec is used mainly for the abortion purpose. For effective abortion this drug is used along with other medication drug called as Mifepristone. Except abortion this drug is useful in many treatments like stomach ulcers, postpartum bleeding, labor induction etc.
In stomach ulcer, Misprostal helps to reduce the gastric acid secretion in the body. In labor induction, it contracts the uterine and ripens the cervix.
