Child’s Play Assures Complete Child Care

Child’s Play is a boon to busy modern families in Toledo.

Families with both parents working need a good child care center. This center should have the qualities of a good playground (where the child does not feel alone) and a pre-school environment (where the child has opportunities to develop self-confidence and learn to read, write and count). In Toledo, it should be licensed to operate by the Ohio Department of Job and Family services. Child’s Play is all three, an ideal setting for children who are encouraged to actively explore, learn and socialize.

Child’s Play programs are meant for children’s emotional, cognitive, social and physical development. Its owner and director Peggy Poskarbiewicz is a mother of four and an early childhood teacher with 20 years of experience. She advocates one-on-one interaction to aid children in building a solid foundation for life. Programs are age-appropriate and flexible, depending on children’s needs and schedule of working parents.

Child’s Play offers full time and part-time child care. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable, and oversee small classes to allow personal involvement. The programs are broadly divided into early childhood and preschool. In the former, there are:

• Toddler program – basic toilet training, storytelling and singing sessions.
• Preschool program – activities are given the outlook of a school environment so children become familiar with school.
• Kindergarten Extended Day – programs in-between formal school, done in the morning or afternoon. Also a pick-and-drop learning schedule.
• Summer Exploration camps – for children aged 5-9 years; the summer camp include hands-on science and nature curriculum. Field trips and family picnics are highlights.
The preschool program includes
• Child-care center
• Daycare
• Toddler programs
• Before and after school programs
• Sensory and motor training
• Potty training
• Infant nursery
• Creative centers.

Classes have day camps, special needs children, developmental preschool activities, planned learning activities, full and part time care. The varied activities allow children and their families to have the flexibility to accommodate their requirements.
