Gulf University has received the Compliance Judgment Certificate for meeting the General Framework Standards from the Education and Training Quality Authority, in coordination with the Higher Education Council. The certificate was presented by Dr. Maryam Mustafa, CEO of the Education and Training Quality Authority, in the presence of Dr. Diana Al-Jahrami, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, Professor Asmat Jaafar, Deputy CEO of the Quality Assurance Authority, and Dr. Sheikha Lubna Al-Khalifa, Director of the Higher Education Institutions Performance Review Department.
In this regard, Professor Mona bint Rashid Al-Zayani, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Board of Directors of Gulf University, expressed her pride in this achievement, highlighting that it reflects the success of the university’s strategies in developing an advanced educational environment that aligns with the requirements of local, regional, and international labor markets. Upon receiving the official delegation from the Higher Education Council and the Education and Training Quality Authority, she emphasized that meeting the standards reflects the university’s ambitious vision, which prioritizes academic excellence and innovation in education. This achievement also showcases the collaborative efforts between the Higher Education Council and the Quality Assurance Authority in enhancing the outcomes of higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She added, "We follow a comprehensive strategic plan that focuses on enhancing the quality of academic programs, advancing scientific research, investing in modern technology, and building effective international partnerships that support the university's journey toward excellence and leadership." She further emphasized that this success is the result of the collective efforts of both the university’s academic and administrative teams, who collaborate to uphold the highest standards in education and learning. She affirmed that Gulf University will continue to evolve its curricula and programs to meet the changing needs of students and society, while fostering an educational environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
Professor Mohannad Al-Firas, President of Gulf University, emphasized that receiving the Compliance Judgment Certificate from the Education and Training Quality Authority serves as a testament to the university's commitment to delivering high-quality academic programs that align the demands of the labor market and global trends. It is worth mentioning that Gulf University has received international quality accreditation and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) accreditation from the United Kingdom. It has also received institutional accreditation, and all its programs have been accredited by the Education and Training Quality Authority. Additionally, the university has obtained "IET Associate Membership" from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in the UK, membership in the ASJMC, and professional international accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), making its media program the second academic program outside the UK to receive such accreditation. Furthermore, the university has obtained AASCB international membership and accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
