The duo wondered whether they could discover any other use for the undamaged soles of such high-quality sports shoes. After doing some research, the duo hit up on the idea of refurbishing discarded shoes into trendy slippers. This brainwave later emerged as an eco-friendly enterprise that makes re-use of shoe soles and is suitably named as Greensole.
The mission of the company is to upcycle and donate millions of pairs of footwear to kids in need and to generate employment for women in rural areas. The team of the company invites both individuals and corporates to support them in their three pillars of social, economic and environmental change.
Individuals can help the company by donating their old footwear, buying footwear from Greensole and sponsoring funds. Donate your old footwear to the company which will be up cycled and donated to people in need. You can donate shoes by courier. You can also organize drives for shoe collection in schools, clubs, societies and courier the collection to the company. They also have some regional collection centres in India.
