Some reasons why players don’t like heroic quests

Originally, Heroic quests have greater difficulty than the standard ones and require a group to do - Heroic 2 quests can be done two people or more, while Heroic 4 requires 4. At the same time, they also provide better experience, rewards, credits and loot from enemies, which seem to be a good option for players, but why most of players are eager to avoid them? The reasons all come from xp and group requirement that shown below:

1. XP gaining and difficulty: although there are better rewards, the difficulty requires much time to complete. Thus, it is not worth of the xp that can gain. Basically, they give maybe 2.5x as much as a regular quest, but at the same time, they take over 5x as long as regular ones takes to complete.

2. Group finding: Usually, a bunch of players usually would like to do the quest like "Rift Night" where they can roll through the countryside doing quests. By contrast, the group requirements in heroic quests are not so ideal unless all players in group roll the same class, or break group every 5 minutes or so. As a result, players would like to ignore Heroics.

3. Less necessity: According to players' experience, one won't be behind others by ignoring heroic quests. Even If you do get behind, the daily space, PVP missions and flashpoints would be helpful, especially when there will be solo mode of flashpoints provided in new expansion to be more interesting. Besides, the green con quests sometimes grant the occasional bonus series that will help you gain an extra level. Thus, Heroic quests are in no way necessary.

A different icon should be provided to distinguish heroic quests

Considering the above reasons, players suggest adding a different icon floating above the heads of heroic quests to distinguish them from regular quests, so that players can easily avoid or find them. There are many ideas on this suggestion, for example, use a champion symbol for 4 mans heroic quests and an Elite symbol for 2 mans, or make an icon with the suggested number - the triangle with a 2 or a 4 in the middle. To save develop time, even a different color of the same symbol is also acceptable and better than do nothing.

In terms of lost time, the suggestion is a good idea that would be a tremendous help for people trying to do heroics or avoid them alike. But while considering the develop time and other issues, it seems this cannot be done in short time. Fortunately, it was said that 12 xp will be permanently valid when the new expansion releases. In this case, you can get cheap swtor credits on Swtor2credits for more xp and better exploration in fallen empires expansion.
