The 2018 year-end report for Canada Express Entry outlines a number of stages of the selection process, where women are advancing towards equality or in some cases, even overtaking the men. Many more women are filing Canada Express Entry application as the principal applicants. Prospective immigrants who wish to migrate permanently to Canada are given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on various criteria. This score assists the government of Canada to assess and rank candidate profiles in the Express Entry pool.

On a more positive note, the number of female applicants with a CRS score of above 400 has more than doubled since the end of last year
Steady Increase in Female Applicants for Canada Express Entry
Since the beginning of this year, nearly 75 per cent of the female applicants obtained a CRS score that ranged between 350 and 449 as against 71 per cent of the male applicants. To gain a better perspective, it is important to note that there were more number of male applicants who scored in the given range, however women who achieved the score were four percent more than their male counterparts.
In the previous year 70 per cent of female applicants in the Express Entry pool scored more than 400 CRS points, when compared to more than 60 per cent of the male applicants. In the year preceding that, 62 per cent of women applicants in the Express Entry pool scored above 400 in CRS. This marked a significant improvement in the composition of the pool at the beginning of the previous year. Woman also scored higher than men in their language scores. The various improvements made by woman in the Canada Express Entry pool data show that the concept of gender equality has been permeating into the Canada immigration system(https://globaltree.in/services/immigration/canada-immigration-consultant/express-entry/) and that woman are showing a steady increase in their caliber for becoming primary beneficiaries of the immigration program. The number of woman who have been admitted to the country has been steadily increasing at the rate of one percent annually since the year 2015 and has now reached 47 percent.
