A large factor in increasing muscle mass is ingesting enough protein.

 
By keeping your workouts new and different, you will stay interested in and committed to your muscle-building routine. Don't combine intense cardio exercise with muscle building routines. Cardio is important in achieving good fitness, but a lot of it could impede your attempts to bulk up through muscle building. If you want to build muscle, focus the bulk of your efforts of your strength-training regimen.
