Dr. Greg Frokjer had a successful practice with more than 80,000 patients treated in his career. In a routine day, he treated 60-70 patients and performed 15-20 surgeries. He has done over 2,000 major hospital cases and has administered over 50,000 general or IV anesthetics. He completed his general practice residency from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He then did his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Carle Foundation Hospitals and Clinic. In 1986, he was Senior Resident of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Carle Foundation Hospitals and Clinic and then was Chief Resident at the same hospital in 1987.

His staff appointments include Residency at Carle Foundation Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Burnham Trauma Center, Carle Clinic, Christie Clinic, and Cleft Palate Clinic. He has privately practiced at several hospitals such as Medcenter One, Riverview Hospital, Roseau Hospital and Altru Hospital. He trained at a Level I Trauma Center and specialized in Facial Trauma, Facial Reconstruction, and Temporal Mandibular Joint Surgery. He has been associated with several professional organizations such as American Dental Association, Fellow-American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Greg Frokjer has co-authored several publications. Some of the publications include TMJ Arthroplasty – An Outpatient Procedure; Soft Tissue Mass of Posterior Pharyngeal Wall; A Simplified Technique of Rigid Fixation Following Sagittal Split Osteotomy; and Postanesthetic TMJ Dysfunction. He is a respected member of the community.
