Radiodermatitis may be chronic or acute and includes localized erythema, hair loss (epilation), skin peeling (desquamation), necrosis, fibrosis, and other related conditions. The condition is usually treated with topical agents like topical antibiotics, corticosteroids, hydrophilic creams; oral medications such as oral analgesics, oral corticosteroids, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory agents; and dressings.
