With the implementation of Right to Education Act in 2009 in India, schooling for children between the ages of 6 to 14 is free and compulsory. However, the reality is something else. Education in the people from the lower category is mostly gender biased. The welfare communities distribute notebooks and other study material to the underprivileged children of the rural areas. Efforts are on to establish more and more hospitals in the rural areas in the future.
