Gas Natural Recovery have adapted to structural changes for the demand for oil products driven by the effects caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which have led to a significant impact on Gas Natural Recovery’s drilling activities.

Gas Natural Recovery’s Chief Operations Officer commented on the refining operations saying “After thoroughly assessing all the alternatives, Gas Natural Recovery will be concentrating its core oil refining activities in the Bay of Campeche, while also continuing our refining operations in the Veracruz and Tabasco basins.”

Gas Natural Recovery’s Chief Operations Officer also added “We are actively managing appropriate solutions and Gas Natural Recovery will continue to maintain all key drilling operations. By concentrating on refining processes, we should reduce our average annual fixed costs whilst also contributing to an annual reduction of CO2e emissions which will improve our energy and process efficiency.”
