Jaipur shows its sporting spirit as runners turn up for the Jaipur By Nite Marathon. The 6th edition of Jaipur By Nite started with an adrenaline rush as Jaipurities put on their running shoes for Jaipur By Nite Marathon, which was full of fun and excitement was flagged off from Hotel Clarks Amer on Saturday night with Kuldeep Ranka, principal secretary, Department of Tourism, Sawai Madhopur MLA; Lt General Cherish Mathson, Army commander, South Western Commander; Anil Saboo chairman, CII Rajasthan Tourism and more.
The event embarked its journey with musical performance by “Toufiq Sabari & Friends” band followed by fun Zumba dance session warm - up activities for the runners by Samar Singh of 8 Steps Studio.
The marathon was divided into two categories which included a 10 km run with a timing chip and 5 km run without timing chip. 10 km run took the route from Hotel Clarks Amer to Rajasthan University (main gate) and back to Clarks Amer while 5 km run was from Clarks Amer to OTS Chauraha and back to Clarks Amer .
Defeating everyone in the running game, Mohit with 33.20 minutes was declared as winner for the marathon in male category whereas Sunil kumar completed his run in 34-35 minutes and bagged first position in the Army category. Outshining everyone was 11 years old Sneha who stood first with 49.19 minutes in the female category.
To witness the beauty and history of Pink City at night, this marathon was organized where over 2000 participants from 11 different states of India added colors with their active Participation.
Jaipur By Nite will also organise a Car Rally on 1st September. On 2nd September a Bite Fest will going to be organise. Highlight of this 6th edition will be a fashion show by Bibi Russell to showcase Rajasthani Khadi and a rocking performance by Agnee Band. As we can say now that this edition has more to enfold in its next events.
