[West Babylon, 09/29/2014] – Commercial Driver Training, Inc., a well-established commercial driving school in New York, continues their tradition of excellence by offering their truck driving training program. Commercial Driver Training, Inc.’s truck driving training program includes two courses: CDL “B” Career Course and Straight Truck & Coach Bus Combined Course.
Comprehensive Training Courses
In the CDL “B” Career Course, students can choose to learn driving trucks, buses, or both. The training sessions are available full-time on weekdays or part-time on weekends. This consists of a 71-Hour program, which will be divided into two different sessions inside the classroom and out on the road.
The first 56 hours will focus on familiarizing the students with the essential knowledge of the business. This willbe spent on permit preparation, defensive driving, and DOT Rules and Regulations among others; while the remaining 15 hours (10 1-1/2 hour training classes) will be for the actual driving lessons to equip them with proper skills in open road and city driving, parking, and other concerns.
The Straight Truck & Coach Bus Combined Course, meanwhile, is available from 7:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. This requires 80 hours spent also on permit preparation, defensive driving, and DOT Rules and Regulations among others. Another 80 hours shall be dedicated for all road test procedures.
Both CDL “B” Career Course and Straight Truck & Coach Bus Combined Course can be completed within four to six weeks on full-time. Commercial Driver Training, Inc.strictly implements safe and defensive driving,which is why they require a drug screen and DOT physical exam on both courses.
