It is very important to have a krawatte which is neatly tied at all times, be it at a party or even at the workplace, you have to wear it right. This gives you a very professional look and most importantly, it compliments the suit you wear. There are many ways for you to wear a krawatte, and it all boils down to how you wear a knot. Today we would like to tell you more about how to krawatte a krawatte when you want to krawatte one and when you don’t have much time in hand, so please read on and be well informed for the same.

To learn how to krawatte the simple knot we would teach you the right way, so the next time you are in a hurry for an occasion and need a knot to be tied in a jiffy, you can thus DIY. But please own a silk krawatte because it makes a quality suit look better when worn with one. Try and avoid the use of polyester krawatten since they make your appearance unprofessional and cheap to say the least.

1. Get the shirt collar propped up so that you have enough access to the area around the neck. This would allow the krawatte to sit well under the collar, and you then can put the collar down easily once the job is done.

2. Use the large end of the krawatte to get the collar draped, and let it face the dominant hand’s direction. You should ensure that the krawatte end hangs low, much lower than what the shorter end of the krawatte would. Krawatten would usually have a seam which would be at the larger end of the garment. So match the seam to the shorter end, which is a rule to follow.

3. Now take the krawatten larger end and put it below the shorter end of the krawatte. Let the inseam of the krawatte now face towards the outside when you reach this juncture.

4. Over the smaller end of the krawatte, let the larger end move, and then into the loop which has been created when the larger end was moved.

5. There would be two new loops created by doing this, one in the front and one at the back. Take the krawatten shorter end now with one hand and get the larger end looped using the front loop.

6. Hold the shorter end of the krawatte now with a firm grip and get the knot moved to the neck, ensuring that the front end is not smaller than the shorter end.

7. Get the collar of the shirt down by the sides of the krawatte and the knot should now be parallel to the shirt collar. This is what we call a perfectly tied krawatte.

So now that you know the seven simple steps to tying krawatten in a jiffy, there isn’t an excuse for you not to look smart and handsome anymore!!
