Alvin Soprano has made a highly anticipated return to YouTube with the release of her Machinima short film, "Goodbye Mommy."

"Goodbye Mommy," currently rated 5.9 on IMDb, highlights Alvin's remarkable talent. She took on multiple roles in this production—writing, directing, producing, and even voicing the character of the mother. Working alongside Matthew James Gordon, who co-edited the film, and Jakob William Chambers, who created the sound work and music, Alvin has created a seamlessly haunting piece.

After a three-year break, Alvin has revitalized her channel, Soprano Productions, replacing all her old content with this exciting new project.

The film was crafted using The Sims 4 and Blender, and the integration is so smooth that it’s hard to tell the two platforms apart. To enhance its eerie, retro vibe, Alvin digitally filmed "Goodbye Mommy" and added a VHS effect. Set in the 90s, the film features era-appropriate furniture and electronics, adding to its nostalgic yet unsettling feel.

The story kicks off on a stormy night with young Lucy, seemingly home alone, playing with her My Little Pony toy. The power goes out, and she hears a loud thud, prompting her to call for her dad. As she checks if it was him, she turns to see the front door open, with a woman's silhouette illuminated by a bright light. Realizing it’s her mother, Lucy calls out to her. The beaming light stops abruptly, and her mother collapses, unable to cross over to the other side.

In a hair-raising sequence, Lucy's mother, with a body twitching as if all her bones are broken, starts walking towards her. Each step causes the power to flicker on and off, bringing her closer to Lucy. When she finally stands in front of Lucy, she says, "Mommy's back, Lucy," in a disturbing, demonic voice. Lucy, however, refuses to believe it's her mother, declaring, "She's no ugly ass demon like you."

After a tense confrontation, the power goes out again. When it returns, the woman’s eyes are closed, her face down, breathing heavily. She then opens her eyes and calls out Lucy’s name in a surprised manner, as if regaining control of her possessed body. Her eyes shut once more, and her face falls. When the power returns, Lucy anxiously calls out for her mother. Her mother looks up and screams "RUN!" in a demonic shriek, prompting Lucy to flee.

The climax, featuring an unexpected jumpscare, leaves viewers on the edge of their seats before fading to black and rolling the credits.

Alvin Soprano's "Goodbye Mommy" clearly shows how much she has grown as a filmmaker. Her ability to handle multiple roles and seamlessly blend different media, coupled with the haunting soundscapes and music by Jakob William Chambers, has set a high standard for her future projects. Fans are excited to see what Alvin will create next.
