Patrick Durand of Future Lighting Solutions will present a workshop on Growth Strategies for Existing and Emerging Lighting Applications on May 19 at LIGHTFAIR International 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Future Lighting Solutions will be participating in the 30th edition of LIGHTFAIR, the largest lighting show in the Americas, from May 19-23, 2019 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

As part of the pre-conference, FLS will present a highly-anticipated workshop, Growth Strategies for Existing and Emerging Lighting Applications, on Sunday, May 19 from 9 am to 12 pm.

The workshop will be led by Patrick Durand, Worldwide Technical Director at Future Lighting Solutions, and will explore different ways that lighting OEMs can leverage the latest design tools to accelerate their growth.

Participants will also gain a solid understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of various technology options for generating first-mover advantage in emerging applications such as lighting control (Bluetooth Mesh vs. ZigBee), human-centric lighting (optimized spectrum, tunable white), horticulture lighting (white vs. purple LED systems) and UV purification lighting (275nm vs. 405nm).

"This workshop is ideal for lighting OEMs wanting to manage the risks of adopting new technology versus the opportunity cost of not adopting it" said Patrick Durand. "We will cover how to efficiently assess the value of new products and technologies for making strategic investment decisions to capitalize on emerging market opportunities" added Durand.
