The NCP59x Series of high precision, 1.5A, 3A LDOs from On Semiconductor feature tight Accuracy, fast transient response and extensive protection.

The NCP5915x, NCP5930x, and NCP5830x series are high precision, very low dropout, low ground current voltage regulators that are capable of providing large load currents with a typical dropout voltage lower than 300mV.

Internal protection features such as output current limit, thermal shutdown, and reverse output current protection assure robust power supply solution. Both adjustable and fixed output voltage options are available. Additional features include an enable function and output error flag.

Very good transient response, high PSRR and very low dropout make this device series an ideal choice for precision point of load (POL) applications and switch mode DC/DC post regulation.

Features include an input voltage of 2.24V to 13.5V input operating range with tolerance of 18V, an output voltage that is adjustable from 1.24V to 13V or internally fixed, a ground current of 1.1mA at light load, excellent load and line transients, as well as output current limit, thermal shutdown, and reverse current protection.

Applications include POL for FPGA, DSP, and processors; switching power supply post regulation; and servers, networking, cellular infrastructure equipment, and industrial systems.
