In the recent past, the community leaders had released its transforming version, ASTPP 4.0 which is announced as A Smart TelePhony Platform. On 19th July 2019, the community leader, Mr. Samir Doshi, has announced the launch of ASTPP 4.0.1.

The result is it is not even two months to launch of ASTPP 4.0 and now we are here with ASTPP 4.0.1”

The ASTPP 4.0.1 has added a few new features for some of the modules in this open source VoIP solution. In terms of new functionalities, there are not too big changes. However, the team has added some features that are needed to increase the customer experience. They have also fixed some bugs and introduce MariaDB support to enhance the performance of this open source telephony platform.

In terms of new functionality, the team ASTPP has developed five new add-ons. These add-ons are announced as community version add-ons. Thus, they will be available to both, community and enterprise version users.

The first add-on introduced in ASTPP 4.0.1 is related to MailChimp Data synchronization and named as MailChimp. It allows ASTPP users to transfer contact details from ASTPP to the MailChimp account without any manual intervention. It will also transfer updates made in the contact details in ASTPP for an existing account.

The four other recently launched add-ons are related to language. To make this platform multilingual, the official ASTPP team has introduced four new language add-ons as listed below:

• Spanish
• Brazilian Portuguese
• French and
• Russian

The ASTPP users can install any one or all four of these language localization add-ons.

As per the shared details, the team ASTPP has fixed some bugs and also added security patches to improve the security of these platform users. The ASTPP team has released details of the changes made in their official webpage of “Changelog”.
