Chavez says that ingestion of elevated levels of vitamin D can lead to potential health issues including vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling and weight loss. Depending on the level and length of exposure and condition of the dog, kidney failure and even death may also occur.
