Calif Institute of Neuroscience Appoints Top Neurosurgeon

Pasadena resident Dr. Sean Xin, a neurosurgeon, has joined the staff of the California Institute of Neuroscience in Thousand Oaks, announced the institute’s founder Martin Mortazavi, M.D., also a neurosurgeon. Xin will tap into his vast experience and extensive knowledge in the field to diagnose and treat a range of disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system including congenital anomalies, trauma, tumors, vascular disorders, infections of the brain or spine, stroke and degenerative diseases of the spine. His surgical work will take place at Los Robles Regional Medical Center and West Hills Hospital.

Xin earned his undergrad degree from Penn State University and doctor of osteopathic medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.
He completed a rigorous neurosurgery residency training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine during which he earned the Resident of the Year award. He completed another year of fellowship in neurosurgical oncology, specializing in treating benign and malignant tumors of brain and spine, at City of Hope.
