Francis St. Holder is a custom motorcycle enthusiast and the owner of Clinton Cycles

Francis St. Holder is an experienced IT professional with more than twenty years in the industry. He is also a small business owner who purchased a used custom cycle shop called Clinton Cycles, and re-opened it in the spring of 2015.

Sometimes it takes new owner to inject a business with the vitality it needs to thrive. One of the most important factors is a commitment to customer service. By focusing on an existing customer base you can build a loyal customer base that keeps coming back. Clinton Cycles was a fixture in the DMV motorcycle community even before Francis St. Holder bought it, but he now offers his customers everything from custom-built motorcycles to custom tee-shirts to bike nights.

Outstanding customer service is a critical part of any successful business, large or small. The objective at Clinton Cycles is to give the DMV a whole new experience from a motorcycle dealership, and so far the strategy has been working for Francis St. Holder. “I will be doing all my bike business here, although I live up in Baltimore,” said one customer. “Much better vibe than [the competition], not to mention selection. Thanks guys!”

Business experts say that small businesses should become an active part of the communities in which they operate. At Clinton Cycles, Francis St. Holder offers his customers professional-level motorcycle courses where they can learn about motorcycle assembly, diagnostics, and advanced tuning, among other subjects. He is also finding ways to give back, like the fundraiser held in March 2016 to benefit the people of Flint, Michigan, affected by a water contamination crisis.

Francis St. Holder is a longtime custom motorcycle enthusiast, and has spent years learning about the discipline. His goal with Clinton Cycles is to provide other custom motorcyclist enthusiasts with a dealership they can count on for parts and services. He loves to meet with his fellow motorcyclists to share knowledge and experience.

When he isn’t focused on Clinton Cycles, Francis St. Holder is the Chief Technology Officer at Information Technology Security and Consulting, Inc. He has a degree in Technical Management from the University of Maryland College Park.
