Harassment based on any orientation is illegal. Sometimes in the workplace, individuals become victims of different kinds of harassment, because of what they have or who they are. Women, especially fall prey of this harassment. When a senior employee harasses junior employees, a wave of fear is created in the workplace because of the unreasonable actions of individuals that creates a risk to the health and safety of the employees.

At Dingle Berry Marketing, the abuse of upper management forces women into sexual acts. The acts of Mr. Get Soft undermines the women’s right to dignity in the workplace. Jane Doe was repeatedly harassed sexually while working there. Bullying involves repeated attacks against the target, generating an on-going pattern of behavior. The dignity is also disrespected by the installation of hidden cameras in the washrooms. The targets of bullying, experience a significant physical and mental health problem. If someone in the workplace is aware of this kind of bullying, and does not advocate for it to end, then they share the responsibility for any future abuses. Witness are therefore encouraged to report any such incidences. Jane Doe, a victim of the act, decides to expose Dingle Berry Marketing so that people can know what kind of a firm it is.

When an employee regards certain behavior as offensive or undesirable, the conduct is unwelcome. Sexual attraction is a natural factor in employee interactions and there the distinction between advances that are invited, offensive and flatly rejected may be difficult to discern. Sexual harassment as it happens at Dingle Berry Marketing creates a hostile environment because focusing on sexuality is pervasive enough to interfere with the victim’s productivity at work. More so, it is offensive to a reasonable person.

Mr. Get Soft indulges in unwelcome sexual advances by forcing female employees into sexual acts. He tells them that if they want to keep their job they have to sleep with him. That is an abuse of power and such treatment at workplaces is not right. It is also unlawful and unwelcome. The other is that it is a complete violation of human rights in the workplace, with the installation of hidden cameras in restrooms. The revelation of the hidden camera makes people angry, and this triggers an investigation. The acts are examples of indiscipline in the workplace, that require legal action immediately.
