Engel & Völkers Florida today announced its quarterly report for the first quarter of 2023. The master franchisor for the State of Florida had a successful start to their year, accounting for 27-percent of all commissions earned in the Engel & Völkers Americas network, which comprises Northern and Central America and the Caribbean, and reporting an average listing price over $1.4-million per property.

“As the overall market sees a decline in total transactions due to higher interest rates, we have seen more top real estate entrepreneurs attracted to join our brand because of its ability to help them attract luxury listings and new set of clientele,” said Peter Giese, CEO Engel & Völkers Florida. “In addition to the new franchisees sold, our niche low overhead luxury brokerage concept recruited close to $250-million in experienced real estate production to join our brand in Q1.”

Engel & Völkers Florida expanded its franchise network with the grand openings of two shops that joined the global network last year, Engel & Völkers San Marco and Engel & Völkers Vero Beach. The franchisor also sold four new franchise territories including Miami, South Beach, Tallahassee, and New Smyrna Beach; more details on that expansion is forthcoming. The company aims to continue its strategic growth during the second quarter, focusing on working closely with existing franchisees to recruit and retain more full-time real estate professionals, acquire smaller unaffiliated brokerages, and increase listing inventory.

During this period, Engel & Völkers Florida facilitated record-breaking sales, including the highest-priced residential property in the Engel & Völkers global network for the first week of February 2023, for $30 million by License Partner and Private Office Advisor Magnus Jennemyr with Engel & Völkers Miami Coconut Grove. The company also sold 180 homes over $1-million, with an average list price of $1,462,168.

I anticipate the signing of 2-3 more franchises in Q2, and several dozen top-producing agents joining our existing shops.”

Engel & Völkers Florida has had a successful quarter, welcoming 96 new advisors who have generated a total production of $203 million. This growth in production is a testament to the company's efforts to attract and retain top talent, as seen in their significant year-over-year advisor count growth of 8.6 percent, totaling over 850 advisors.

Engel & Völkers Florida recently celebrated its success at the brands annual, multi-national conference in Miami; where the Florida shops and advisors accounted for 18-percent of the awards given in the six Engel & Völkers Top Producer Awards. In line with its success, the company is focusing on expanding its presence in its current markets while investing in brand marketing and recruiting efforts to enhance its reputation and expand into new Florida markets during 2023.
