Real estate is a very tricky business. A lot of work goes into selling properties and some estate agents can take advantage of the position that they are in. However, some estate agents believe that it should be about the homeowners, rather than about the amount of money the estate agent is making.
The norm
With estate agents, the norm is to earn a commission off the sale of the home. Therefore, it benefits them to sell the house. However, with the current rate of commission, they can sell a property for a reduced price and they might make more commission on the property even though they haven’t done the best job is selling the property.
The homeowner will lose more than the estate agent on the sale of the property. That is not right and some estate agents believe that there should be a change in the industry. These estate agents care about their clients more than they care about making money.

They set their commission rates below the standard rate for the industry. They then set increases on the commission depending on increments on the price of the property. Therefore, it is better for them to do the work and get the client as much money as they can for their property.
The partnership is then mutually beneficial if they wait for the asking price on the property. They do not benefit if they sell the property below the asking price.
A company spokesperson added, “We are delighted with our changes within the industry. We want our clients to know that we will get the best possible price for them. We don’t want to benefit if we lose our clients money.”
Fitzmaurice Property Group hopes that they have set an example for other estate agents. Even if they don’t set a trend, they will continue to have their fair policies.
