[BRISBANE, 28 January 2015] – Centenary Memorial Gardens, the well-established cemetery and crematoria in Sumner, Brisbane, offers a range of interment options to honour life. Clients can choose from a range of grave areas in the 400-acre site; they can also choose the site location within their chosen area.

Freedom to Choose Grave Areas

Centenary Memorial Gardens allows clients to choose from their range of grave areas. The whole place is divided into eighteen separate areas, half of which is dedicated to burials and the other nine to cremations. Among their grave areas include The Gumnut Garden, Golden Wattle Lawn, and Lone Pine.

Lone Pine, in particular, is a special burial area in remembrance for those who fought and paid the ultimate price for the country. Golden Wattle, on the other hand, is a full monumental area designed for the needs of the diverse ethnic and religious requirements of the city. The Gumnut Garden is particularly dedicated to preserving the memory of children, particularly babies, toddlers, and children up to seven years of age.

Pre-Planned Funeral

The Centenary Memorial Gardens gives clients the option of having a pre-planned funeral. This helps make the process of arranging a funeral simpler.

With this option, clients will have a say in what area of the cemetery they want to be buried; they can even readily purchase the sites, which may not be available at a later date. This will also help save money and avoid future price increases, protecting loved ones from the unexpected financial stress. What’s more, the pre-planning investment funds are exempt under the income and assets and deemed earning rules; clients can also be confident that these finds will only be used for this particular purpose.

About Centenary Memorial Gardens

Centenary Memorial Gardens was established in 2001 by three Queensland families long associated with funeral care. Centenary Memorial Gardens is the first cemetery established in the area since the historic Toowong Cemetery. With four generations and three centuries of combined experience, the founders have built a modern cemetery well loved by the people of Brisbane.
