Personalized wellness service “FiNC plus” provides benefits to companies, employees and their family members with a spectrum of services from tailored exercise options to chat consultation with healthcare professionals

FiNC Inc. (Headquartered in Tokyo, Founder & CEO: Yuji Mizoguchi, hereafter “FiNC”) announced the release of its new wellness service “FiNC plus” targeted at corporate clients on 25 February 2016.

Built on FiNC’s previous wellness solution offering insights into an individual’s health condition and recommendations for lifestyle habit improvements, FiNC plus also incorporates a module for health education and a plentiful directory of discounts. This service, offered at 500 yen per employee per month, is part of a package solution targeting forward-thinking companies and fulfills requirements for the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Infrastructure (METI) Health and Productivity Management framework. The service is scheduled to go live on April 1st 2016.

The recent decline in the working population, coupled with the increase in work-related illness and rise in healthcare costs points to the need for companies to emphasize the health of its employees. A heightened awareness of the importance of employees’ health, both the public and private sector, is leading to the establishment of legal and best practice frameworks such as the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s stress check to promote wellness and health management. The need to address the issue of employee health in a clear and effective manner has created demand for corporate wellness solutions.

Besides enabling employees to monitor their health condition on a smartphone or PC, FiNC plus gives employees access to fitness and healthcare services in alignment with their lifestyles as well as a simple way to consult healthcare professionals such as dietitians, trainers and pharmacists through a chat function about a range of health concerns. In additions, the service provides users with exclusive discounts to easily explore services provided by FiNC’s partners, including sports clubs, yoga studios, stretch salons and a range of wellness services at reasonable prices.

Built from a belief that health and wellness of mind and body begins at home, FiNC plus is intended not only for individual employees, but can also be used by their immediate family members at no additional cost. By using the service to track their health and fulfill diet & nutrition goals, users collect points tied to the effort put in to improve their health. These points can then be applied towards the purchase of health & wellness products on FiNC’s dedicated e-commerce site and to explore health & fitness facilities as part of a “Health Incentive Program” included in the 500 yen per user per month price of the service.

Companies implementing FiNC’s suite of “Wellness Management” solution services, including FiNC plus, qualify for the Health & Productivity Standards established by METI and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) as well as comprehensive health management. In addition, for a limited time FiNC plus includes a module complying with the Stress Check requirements for companies with 50 or more employees as stipulated in the Revised Industrial Safety and Health Act signed into law in December 2015.
