National Institute of Design (NID) conducts a NID entrance exam to shortlist the candidates in design courses offered by the campuses. The high competition and high difficulty makes the exam hard to clear. Candidates who have given the NID DAT prelims exam 2019 shared that the exam was easy but lengthy.

NID DAT Prelims exam were held on 29th December from 10 am to 1 pm and the exam had no surprise for the students. Part 1 of the exam comprised of general aptitude questions of 30 marks and the part 2 of drawing and creative aptitude questions were of 70 marks. The paper pattern was such that the aptitude questions are from logical reasoning and current affairs. In the creative aptitude section apart from drawing, it was designed to test the aptitude of the candidates, creative thinking and 2D graphic designing.

In the NID entrance exam 2019, the easiest section was logical and non-verbal. The difficulty level of the paper was average, more marks were given to the drawing section, said by the students. Also, they said that the majority of the questions were asked from general knowledge and logical reasoning which was quite tough. The authorities were likely to release the results in the third week of March, but it has been delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
