Working in a salon studio during Covid-19 may not be the ideal situation but they’re able to work with what they have to keep their business running.

Did you know that working in a salon studio during the Covid-19 is actually extremely important? Now, you may be interested in why working somewhere in public during a pandemic is actually a good thing and important. Well, make sure to keep reading in order to understand in full-depth why working in a salon studio rather than a regular salon will be more effective and work better in the long run.

First things first, we are currently living in a world that’s strange and everything seems to be up in the air, not knowing exactly when it may or may not get better in regards to Covid-19. With that being said, it’s important to try to fit in with the new norm now and take proper precautions to stay safe and healthy.

Unfortunately, regular salons may be struggling more than salon studios as of right now due to having a hard time trying to abide by social distance regulations and having to be close to a person in order to take care of them and do their hair.

Did you know that according to FOX Business, “the beauty sector is estimating that 25 to 30 percent of traditional salons may not survive the crisis.” This is quite sad news considering how popular the beauty industry has been for years and it’s a shame to think about all the talented beauty professionals losing their jobs and all the hard work they’ve put into it.

But, as for salon studios, they are more likely to come out of this pandemic better and bigger than ever! This is mainly because they’re able to successfully follow the social distancing guidelines and even the sanitary guidelines.

This is a big reason why some businesses work better than others due to being able to accurately follow the rules and regulations without it interfering with the specific business and allowing them to do their jobs. Since it’s quite hard for businesses to go back to completely normalization, they have to work with what they have and salon studios should be able to bounce back from this without too much damage being done.

For salon studios, they have equipment that’s individually sectored off so rather than the equipment being shared constantly throughout the day, this allows salon studios to take care of protocols post-virus and even during the virus more effectively than the regular salons.

Hair color products are often one of the biggest products that tend to be constantly grabbed by people so a lot of salon studios have organizers place each product in their individual cubby for maximum protection. What an awesome way to help prevent the spreading of the virus by investing in organizers to keep the touching at a bare minimum.

No sharing at all within the equipment is a better way to lessen the amount of contact of multiple people touching the same equipment all day long. This even includes hair color organizers that allow salon studios to have an organization set-up to keep all the hair colors in their own cubby which is perfect to decrease more than one person touching the same product over and over again.

According to Cosmo Salon Studio, “Traditional salons have to share equipment, counters, chairs, sinks, and work services. In a salon studio, each salon is sectioned off in its own room with floor-to-ceiling walls and doors. There is no sharing of equipment or space which means that each studio can be completely contained.”

Not sharing equipment or sharing a space with tons of people is a great way to minimize human contact as much as possible. It’s important that businesses take care of themselves as long as the people who walk in their business.

So, being able to provide equipment and cubicle spaces will help everyone to stay as safe as possible during these strange and challenging times. Since every stylist has their own cubicle, they’ll be able to go to what they need in a timely manner. This works even better if the studio has organizers to store hair colors, which will help cut down the cross-contamination.

No Wait Lines Or Huge Crowds!

As you may know from past experience or hearing about the fact that regular salons often have multiple people waiting in line for their turn or a crowd of people in the salon. However, with salon studios, they tend to have a significant decrease in the number of people that are in the studio.

This is mainly because there are rarely any waiting rooms so people are more likely to come at the expected time and walk straight in to get taken care of. Also, another benefit is that there are never huge crowds so you don’t have to come in contact with a bunch of people. Especially due to how important it is to keep your distance from people you don’t live with, to keep the spreading down to a minimum.

Supporting the Beauty Industry Tremendously

It’s important to keep in mind that businesses all over the world have been impacted by the Covid-19 tremendously and being able to give support to other businesses as well as the hard-working professionals is everything! That’s why working in a salon studio during Covid-19 has brought hundreds of beauty professionals together and created a massive support group.

According to IFA, International Franchise Association discussed how a salon known as Sola Salon “launched a COVID-19 Resource Center, which has blogs, business/marketing tips, virtual education, downloadable social media content and more, as well as a podcast called “Sola Stories” as a way to share stories of inspiration.”

As you can see from the above text, salons are becoming a way of incorporating beneficial information to keep stylists and everyone in the beauty community connected. It can be hard to feel connected with others during a time of isolation and having to stay away from your normal activities before Covid-19.

Salons being able to create blogs and tips in order for people to still be a part of the salon by reading their material and supporting their attempt to keep clients and stylists connected in a way is always a good idea.

What Does This Mean?

Covid-19 may not be over yet, but salon studios are doing everything they can in order to function during this time of uncertainty. Working in a salon studio during Covid-19 may not be the ideal situation but they’re able to work with what they have to keep their business running.
