Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Hold down the Shift and Control keys on the keyboard to open iTunes. Starting the iTunes in Safe Mode will help isolate the program from any interface caused by plug-ins or scripts manufactured by Apple. Dial iTunes technical support number for switching on the device in Safe Mode.
Disconnect the computer from the internet
iTunes startup issue at times is also caused due to errors in communicating with the iTunes store and other Apple services. First disconnect the computer from the internet. For this turn off the WiFi and unplug the Ethernet cord. Now open iTunes and if the iTunes open with no error, then update the drivers.
User-specific issues
Check whether the issue is occurring in a new library or not and for that create a new iTunes library. Try restoring the old copy of the iTunes library if the problem gets resolved using a new iTunes library. Follow the steps to resolve the problem –
Quit the iTunes program and open the iTunes folder ‘C:\users\username\My Music\iTunes’.
Move the iTunes Library.itl file to the desktop and then open iTunes. The library should be empty.
On the keyboard, press the ‘Control’ and B keys which will open the iTunes. Now choose ‘Library’ and then ‘Add Folder to Library’.
Open the folder where the music is located ‘C:\users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media’. Add to the library and drag it into the iTunes window by choosing an artist, album, or song.
Wait till the time iTunes is adding the items successfully into the library.
Now perform gapless playback scan. If the scan becomes successful, then start adding songs to the library.
