Fairyville Adventures: Tasha’s Wish is the first book in the series. One day Cleona, a beautiful fairy, grants Tasha three wishes. Most children would have wished for something fancy. However, the protagonist, Tasha, age 6, had something different in mind. She wished she never had a little brother. At first, Tasha is pleased with the outcome. When she realizes she made a mistake, she confronts her feelings and emotions as she realizes that there is nothing more important than having a family.

Although Tasha is the protagonist, Devon, her younger brother, plays a pivotal role. Simone included both a girl and a boy as essential characters in the series because by doing so, both genders have the opportunity to be drawn into fantasy worlds full of action and adventure. “In order to ensure that children thrive academically, they must develop a love of reading at an early age. As I wrote the Fairyville Adventures series, I envisioned children between the ages of 3-7 reading the books as beginner readers. However, parents can and should read the bedtime stories to toddlers.
