About:
Author Ed Harris was born in the Bronx and grew up on the East Coast. He traveled extensively between high school and college, backpacking across the Western U.S. and Canada and in a dozen or so European countries, and has lived in the US, Israel and the Netherlands. He moved to Seattle, home of Starbucks, in 1990, drawn by the over-priced coffee and beauty of the Northwest, which he observes on a daily basis from the climate-controlled comfort of his home and car. Although he is currently bald, as a youth he sported a six-inch thick helmet shaped Jew-fro, so thick and lush you could lose your hand in it, the memory of which still inspires him.
