Noted landscaper Eric Julian Alvarez is celebrating his involvement in community service for 8 years.

Eric Julian Alvarez is pleased to announce that he has now been involved in a number of community service projects for the past 8 years. While his beginnings in community service were based mostly around working in animal shelters, Eric Julian Alvarez has now branched out into other service projects, namely an international organization that works to support rural communities in Kenya.

For Eric Julian Alvarez, being involved in community service is extremely important. In all aspects of his life, Eric Julian Alvarez has good will toward others in mind, whether animals or other people. For this reason, Eric Julian Alvarez has rescued three retired racing greyhounds, an undertaking that was inspired by his early work in animal shelters.

“I still work with my local shelter,” says Eric Julian Alvarez. “I started there, and I’m staying there. I think if you are looking to help out in your community, volunteering at your local animal shelter is a great idea.”

Eric Julian Alvarez’s humble beginnings have branched into newer endeavors. Along with a group of other philanthropists, Eric Julian Alvarez conducted multiple fundraisers to help out a rural Kenyan village.

“That has been a wonderful – and continuous – project. The first time we did it, we were working on improving the running water and irrigation system. As a landscaper, that was of particular importance to me. Now we are working on an animal husbandry program,” says Eric Julian Alvarez. The goal of this program? A dairy goat for every family, says Eric Julian Alvarez.

According to Eric Julian Alvarez, providing goats for a rural community, like the one he works with in Kenya, is a great way to support the community’s self-sustainment and development. Eric Julian Alvarez knows that goats provide dairy and protein through milk and meat, which are important aspects of human nutrition.

Eric Julian Alvarez believes that everyone who can should be involved in service projects, whether locally or abroad. For Eric Julian Alvarez, being a part of both international and home-based efforts provides a wonderful balance for his life. Eric Julian Alvarez looks forward to many future years of service.
