Adelaide

If you or a family member has been chosen as a participant with NDIS or has enjoyed the service for quite some time, it is necessary to know about the pricing arrangements and limits. The information will be helpful to both NDIS providers and the participants. To that extent, you need to remember the following details while remembering that most of these practices have become effective from 1st July 2021.

The points to remember are:

Disability support worker cost model

The price limits for supports offered by disability support workers under the NDIS Disability Support Worker Cost Model in 2021-22 will be as follows:
• The super guarantee has been increased from 9.5% to 10%
• The Fair Work Commission has been increased 2.5% in the minimum wage area

SDA indexation of price limits

The price limits of SDA or specialist disability accommodation and the refurbishment threshold have also increased by 1.1%. These limits have been updated to reflect the movement of the CPI or Consumer Price Index.

Temporary transformation payments

TTP or Temporary Transformation Payment has been reduced to 1.5% from 6% and 4.5% as per the plan.

Group-based support

Based on the sector feedback, including NDIS providers and the impact of COVID-19, the transitional pricing arrangements in the case of group-based support has been extended till 30th June 2022. This extension on time will allow the providers more time to adopt and implement a program that will agree with the new arrangements and participants. In addition, administrative burdens that would have happened because of these details will be less.

Prepayment for providers

A provider can now claim prepayment in certain support areas without written approval from NDIA. However, the approval of those claims will depend on the conditions denoted by the pricing arrangements and limits from NDIS.

Keeping a tab on the new arrangements

Whether a participant is getting enough community access in Adelaide or has any other concerns, keeping a tab on the new arrangements and limits on the pricing will be necessary. The structure has been designed to help the participants in as many ways as possible. Moreover, providers cannot charge more than the price limits set by NDIS. This is a piece of information participants should know.

Once you are aware of these details and developments, looking into your hiring services will be necessary. Doing so will provide you with a clear idea of whether you are being exploited or not.
