In an interview for “ELECTRONICS FOR YOU” in 2011, Naveen Kumar, CEO EMTECH FOUNDATION, highlights the needs of industrial and education gap and how they are filling spaces to create skilled employment in electronics industries. He specifies Electronic engineer are looking for training centre that provides in depth in embedded system domain and hardware design. But are unable to find any institute that fulfils their desire to learn latest technologies and ensured employment in embedded sector. With engineering colleges mushrooming everywhere, students face less competition in getting admission, resulting in lesser attention to fundamentals. Engineering colleges too are not able to provide right resources for their technical skills development.
When asked about scope of embedded system he adds that at present India’s exports embedded system worth $5 billion. The domestic market has immense potential of growth in embedded system sector that means more opportunities for aspiring electronics engineer. More exposure and hands on training can boost individual career.
