Miracle on 5th Street to Showcase Historic Downtown Lincoln Saturday

Posted December 4, 2013 by Emanuelemarketing

A parade and holiday festivities will be the talk of the town on Saturday, and Lincoln Fit1 staff members will be giving away a free Zumba class to interested parade spectators.

Join the festivities on Saturday to experience the Miracle on 5th Street Christmas Parade in historic downtown Lincoln and get a free Zumba class at Lincoln Fit1.

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual parade, and this year it begins at 4:30 p.m. at 5th and F streets. Follow the festive floats down 5th Street to the tree lighting and downtown open house to kick off your holiday season right. Along the parade route, Lincoln Fit1 staff members will be handing out promotional cards offering your first Zumba class free.

The Zumba motto is “Ditch the workout! Join the party” because it incorporates fun dance moves from several sources, including salsa, hip-hop and martial arts. The end result is an aerobic dance class that uses high-intensity intervals (bursts of high-energy followed by recovery periods of longer steady-state cardio) so participants sweat, burn calories, learn some new dance moves, and mostly importantly, have fun.

Lincoln Fit1 wants to spread the Zumba party, so they will be handing out cards so people can try their first class free. Marissa Hodge leads the Zumba classes at Lincoln Fit1, 831 Sterling Parkway.
