Dubai-based international supermodel Elvira Jain once again stuns the runway at the red carpet premiere of highly anticipated French movie Benedetta starring Virginie Efira as Benedetta Carlini, a movie about a novice nun who joins the convent in Pescia, Tuscany.

Arriving at the peak of Dubai’s golden age of fashion, Jain rose to fame in the late 2010s as part of Dubai's growing couture fashion culture. Her collaborations with Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Phillip Plein, Lacoste, Vans Cleef and Arpel, Charlotte Tilbury, regional talents such as Zuhair Murad and AMATO Couture, brought her to

fashion icon status. She is known for her commercial yet eccentric beauty, and being a favourite amongst local and international designers, from couture to commercial brands. She has been featured in top international magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, L’Officiel, Cosmopolitan, Women’s Health, Esquire, to name just a few. She also strutted the runway of international fashion weeks in India, China and the United Arab Emirates.
She represented her country at Miss Earth, an organization of women with a mission to create awareness and charity drives on pressing issues harming Mother Nature.
When she was 18, Jain started her own modelling agency named DMD Modelling Agency which aims to discover and train young talents in Moldova and give them opportunity to work with international brands.
EARLY LIFE
Elvira is the granddaughter of the famous Moldovian scientist Ion Habasescu, who helped develop over 100 invention patents for the development of agricultural machines and farming equipment in Europe. He is also acknowledged as the most gifted and endowed inventor from Moldova in 2011 for a string of inventions and novelties in the animal husbandry field.
Her love for fashion comes from early ages, she was inspired by her grandmother, who is a literary critic, and a public person in Moldova. She was exposed to her grandmother’s work in theater and television.
Her first magazine editorial was published at the age of 7 along with an essay personally written by her.
During her teenage years, Elvira was a mainstay host at a local radio program Radio Moldova.
She started her modelling career at the age of 16 when the renowned Moldovan designer Valentina Vidrascu discovered her at her school and booked her to walk on her fashion show.

After that break, Elvira got her first international modelling contract in China, where she was casted to walk for fashion leisure brand Lacoste.
She spent travelling in China between Beijing, Shanghai and Guanzhou for three months, and received outstanding attention from the Chinese fashion industry having her face printed in magazines, billboards and TV commercials.
After her success in China, Elvira travelled to Greece under a new modelling contract, followed by signing follow up contracts from several agencies in Turkey, Italy, Lebanon, Spain, Singapore, Taiwan, India and recently the United Arab Emirates, where she is based for the last 6 years.
Some of her memorable work includes collaborations with Harvey Nichols, Banana Republic, Nayomi, Guess, BEBE, Bloomingdales, Swarowski, Villebrequin, faraz Manan, Manish Malhotra, Amazon, Burj Al Arab, The Dubai Mall, Master Card, The Address Hotels, Emaar, Etihad Airways , Satya Paul, Sandro, Ounass, Dubai Design District, to name just a few.
In 2017, Elvira stopped modelling for nine months to give birth to her son but went back to work full-time three weeks after giving birth.
Elvira has a Masteral Degree in Business and Finance from London School of Business and worked as an intern at Garanti Bank in Turkey unde the Mergers and Acquisition department.
