25th March, 2022: Thousands of refugees migrate from their home countries and make their way to first-world countries to get a better shot at life. However, due to scarcity and poor allocation of resources, these refugees continue to struggle even after leaving everything behind. However, Somali Community Link is playing their role in ending the Somali community’s struggle by helping Somali refugees and immigrants get a high-quality education that can help them find good jobs and build a good life.

The Somali Community Link is a non-profit organization based in Ohio that focuses on helping Somali refugees build a better life for themselves. Since they pay the highest cost of leaving their loved ones and family behind to create a better life, Somali Community Link is playing their role in trying to improve matters for these people. From providing job hunt assistance to fighting for the rights of refugee children’s education, they are doing it all.

The Head of the Youth Education Program at SCL shared:
“ Language barriers, limited resources, and biasedness at schools are just some of the issues they have to fight. With a bit of help, they can get the best education and get a good job that can help their family in the US and back home.

We aim to help them integrate into the American society so they can flourish while assisting them to retain their identity and remember who they are and where they are from.”

The Somali Link Community offers a wide range of services for Somali refugees in Ohio, such as employment assistance, legal advocacy, housing assistance, case management services, and much more.
