Colombian artist Joe Monroe, currently based in Miami, is carving out a unique space in the Latin music scene with his emotional dancehall style — a fusion of urban sounds and heartfelt lyrics that explore resilience, heartbreak, and self-love. Singing in Spanish, English, and Jamaican patois, Monroe stands out for his raw honesty, energy, and authentic identity.

Originally from Bogotá, Monroe has built his career independently with a clear international vision. He has collaborated with artists such as Lila Lorens, Noeh Cebalse (also featured on Cenizas, an EP by Mexican rapper Alemán), Le Petite Mort, Madxian — a well-known techno DJ from Bogotá — and Tiller Boi (Young Ti), a key producer in Colombia’s new urban wave. His single “Recuerdo” was mixed and mastered by Alka Produce, known for his work with Nanpa Básico.

Joe isn’t just a vocalist — he’s also proven himself as a creative event organizer. In Bogotá, he co-produced an independent show alongside Lila Lorens and opened for acclaimed artist Lee Eye, reinforcing his commitment to emerging art and alternative spaces.

“I don’t make music to be perfect. I make music to be real. My art comes from pain, healing, and representing those who don’t have a microphone but have a story,” says Monroe.

His performances have reached stages like BPM Bogotá (across from Theatron in Chapinero), Pobre Diabla Bogotá, and the iconic Vice Miami club. He has also participated in showcases and indie events across both Colombia and the United States.

In 2025, Monroe was invited to Premios Lo Nuestro as a special guest, participating in media appearances, networking sessions, and industry events that helped solidify his presence in the U.S. Latin market.
