For example, Schering-Plough is a 10 X scale model of a modifiable dose malaria drug release ‘pen.’ Acrylic tubes designed the main body of the model. The caps were vacuum designed in polystyrene, as were the lower bodies. The lower bodies were created in halves, and then slots were directly cut into them. The lifted ribs were prepared from a polystyrene rod, heat softened, planed level on one side, and solvent joined to the body. The bodies, as well as the special color caps were all differently painted with automotive polish. All the lettering on the models was completed through the applied transfers.
