It is an initiative between a UK based children's charity Innocent Colours (registration number 11322282), Umex Union- a non profit organisation in the UK

Set to be launched on 22nd July, the pioneering venture caters to NGO's and charities worldwide, connecting them to skilled volunteers seeking to offer their support in the socially responsible sector.

Volunteer work stands as a strong pillar in the community, providing opportunities to bond with like-mined peers, personal growth and satisfaction, career advancement and fun and fulfilment.

The Chipin Work platform identifies endless ways a volunteer can contribute to a charitable organisation ranging from project management, IT development, research and design (just to name a few). The placement of volunteers through the platform spans across many sectors within the NGO activity space including, but not limited to:

•Education and Sports
•Family services
•Immigrant and refugee services
•Healthcare
•Hunger and homelessness
•Environment and disaster relief.

Features of the recruitment platform includesPremium Membership- providing a faster and more efficient way for recruiters to filter through resumes.

Benefits of the membership consist of:

•Homepage display- member profile displayed on homepage for 30 days offering maximum possible exposure
•Free access- profiles freely available to registered recruiters enhancing potential employment
•Recruiters newsletter - profiles circulated to both registered and unregistered recruiters through a mailing list
•Add weight to candidature - when a member applies for a job the profile and resume are sent to the employer via email under 'Premium Member' application adding credibility to the candidature.

The importance of the voluntary sector workforce is ever increasing. According to The UK Voluntary Sector Workforce Almanac (2011) in 2010, there were 765,000 people employed in the UK voluntary sector- an increase of 40% since 2001. The sector now employs around 2.7% of the UK workforce. Further, more than one-third (37%) of these employees hold a degree level qualification or higher and overall, 73% held an A Level qualification or its equivalent indicating a highly skilled workforce.

Hence, Chipin Work recognises the need for talented employment in the NGO and Voluntary sector and stands as a bridge between enthusiastic philanthropists and those benevolent organisations in need of a helping hand.

The collaboration is an initiative between Umex Union- a UK based non profit social and community organisation and UK based children's charity Innocent Colours (registration number 11322282).
