There are many students who are not in a position to appear for highly competitive examinations like XAT,CMAT,IIFT, ATMA, SNAP, MAT, KMAT, INMARSAT, IBSAT,TISSNET, NMAT for getting admission into many famous and the best MBA colleges in Pune, or elsewhere like XLRI, SPJIMR, MDI, IMT, XIMB, IMI. Our present discussion is for those students who wish to get a management postgraduate degree or an MBA (or PGDM) but without appearing in such entrance examinations.

We wish to clarify one thing here that direct MBA admission without any entrance examination is available at various private MBA schools or some private deemed universities in India. But these do not come cheap. That is their fee structure is pretty high to moderate or moderately high.

Direct MBA admission (without entrance examination) is good for whom?
Direct admission to MBA will definitely be a good option for those who do not want to appear in any entrance examination for whatever reasons. Also, it is a good choice for those who are not finicky about getting the degree from the top B-Schools like XLRI, IIM or other private brands like Nirma, Symbiosis.

Also, this is a better option for those who want to start their own venture or entrepreneurship and the school-stamp hardly matters for them. What they want is to learn the business and management skills to start their own business.

Those who are satisfied with earning an average salary ranging between two lakhs to six lakhs per annum and do not aspire for a higher salary range. This is because employers offer higher packages only to the management students from the top B-schools like IIM and the like.

The third case of students who prefer direct MBA admission is those who do not wish to migrate to far off places like other cities or states other than their hometown.

But it should be kept in mind that the private colleges that offer direct admission to MBA studies also offer good placement opportunities through the salary range would not be high. Here the private deemed universities rank better in placing candidates compared to private colleges though the fees of such universities are comparatively higher.

What to take care of before taking direct MBA admission in India
Those who wish to go for a direct MBA admission must keep in mind the following factors…

It is recommended to do more research about the placement opportunities offered by such colleges, quality of education and the curriculum structure and also the fees.

Instead of solely relying on the information available on the internet or advertisement, it is better to visit the college in person to get a real feel of the infrastructure, classrooms, faculty and other facilities that the college advertises for.

It needs to be checked whether the Management Colleges in Pune, or elsewhere has UGC or AICTE (for PGDM) approval. Many colleges are running without any of the above for the sake of earning money. Students must be extremely careful about such colleges as such degrees will not be valid and hence totally useless. This means that the total money, time, energy and other resources spent will be a total waste.
