Morton's Traditional Taste - a free range poultry farm located in Skeyton, Norwich - have recently completed a purpose built smokehouse for the artisan smoking of free range chicken and duck breasts. The family farm was awarded grant funding from the Norfolk Coast and Broads Development Programme to convert a redundant farm building into a specialist smokehouse. Using traditional smoking methods, the company incorporate wood chips from old whisky barrels to create a light and delicate flavour.

The Mortons are well known for their award winning, free range black and bronze Christmas turkeys. Their birds are reared to the highest welfare standards with a true "traditional taste" designed to make Christmas extra special. With the introduction of the smokehouse, the free range farm can now offer a range of smoked products that are second to none. Using time honoured traditions, they are now beginning to increase their product range combining the finest meats, cures, smoke and enthusiasm to deliver superb free range poultry.

Their smoked chicken and duck breast is traditionally cured with molasses and gently smoked over whiskey infused oak chippings creating delicious flavours that are true to the taste. The family company have been rearing traditional farm fresh turkeys for over 10 years. Their aim is to offer customers excellent free range products that are produced with care and dedication. Their turkeys have been recognised in the Great Taste Awards – the acknowledged benchmark for speciality food and drink and often described as the 'Oscars' of the food world.
