Dylan Bednarz has spent years building an impressive resume for his future. As a dedicated college student, he has spent the last three years at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) earning a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Now, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2017, he has begun to look toward the future. With a particular interest in pharmaceuticals, he has made the decision to continue his education and obtain a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Engineering.

While Bednarz was not always set on a career in engineering, he has always been highly ambitious. After graduating from private Catholic, Bishop George Ahr high school in Edison, New Jersey, he went on to explore his interests in business management. After taking several courses, he was able to determine his true talent and interest in engineering and was admitted to NJIT in 2013.

Now with three years in the engineering program, he has taken numerous key courses to ensure his success in the field. Classes like Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Analytical/Organic Chemistry Lab, and Chemical Process Calculations have given him the tools he needs to confidently enter the industry.

Throughout his time in school, Dylan Bednarz has been able to maintain a 3.41-grade point average while excelling at his job with Panera Bread. He has been promoted twice during his tenure with the company and now holds a management position as Shift Leader. He works with five fellow managers and performs numerous daily operations while managing a staff of sixty employees.

Despite his busy work schedule and course load, he also has experience working in Research and Development at NJIT. He was afforded the opportunity to study and solve problems in the pharmaceutical industry with a particular interest in powders. This work has not only provided him with an opportunity to further explore his interest in Pharmaceutical Engineering but to bolster his experience and resume for the future.

As a diligent worker, Dylan Bednarz has begun his career in engineering on the right foot. As he now finishes his Bachelor of Science in the field and works towards his Master’s, he will continue to strengthen his knowledge and understanding of the industry he enjoys.
