This Press Release is written to inform the readers that Jose Pineiro performed his first acrobatics in the year 1913.

Making a career in aviation was not as easy in the time of Jose Pineiro as it is these days. Giving up a well set up factory to try luck in the field of aviation was a courageous step in itself. Jose, however, worked hard to overcome the challenges that lied ahead of him. He practiced hard and performed his first acrobatics in the year 1913.

Jose Pineiro was one of the few aviators who could perform the challenging acrobatic called “the flight of the seagull”. Even though he was not successful in his first attempt, he never gave up. He worked hard and left everyone by surprise by securing the first position at the great festival of Burgos.

Impressed by his skills, the Galician Center also invited Jose to perform acrobatic flights in Buenos Aires for the Galician community and its Argentine. Jose Pineiro is said to have inspired three significant milestones of Spanish aviation.

A number of books have been written glorifying Jose Pineiro’s struggle and achievements. One of the most popular books about him is called “The Flight of the Seagull”. Two sculptors of the great aviator stand tall at the beach of Silgar in Sanxenxo in an attempt to honor him.
