In one of his recent interviews, renowned poet, essayist, and cultural dynamist from Leon, Jose Pineiro expressed concern over the fact that more than 90% of the citizens aren’t aware of so many major issues happening around them. While emphasizing on the need to empower them, he said that knowledge is the power of choice and growth, and also referred to it as the most powerful weapon one can possess.

During the interview, Jose Pineiro also talked about truth and honesty. For him, lie is an object which has never been of any use, while truth is a door which invites everyone to trespass. As far as respect is concerned, anyone who has ever made a contribution, no matter how small, in raising awareness about an important cause, taught, guided, or opened the mind of others deserves all the respect. Pineiro also thinks that writers play a critical role molding the society and should choose their subjects wisely.
